An Introductory Course to Chinese Language and Culture
If you are planning to visit China on business or for a holiday, learning a few basics can go a long way to transforming your experience into something quite different and much more rewarding.
There is no denying that Chinese seems to be a very challenging language for us to learn. However, it is becoming more important as a world language and more accessible to us now through the many online resources. There is also more government investment in schools.
It is possible for you to learn too! Just imagine...
- Being able to say a few words - greeting people, introducing yourself and your family, using numbers, what to say when shopping or in a restaurant or at the airport.
- Understanding simple sentences so that you can communicate in the hotel or with your host family.
- Learning about the written language - the Chinese characters - how to write the characters, understanding the different elements of each character, learning to read.
- You will gain an insight into how this fascinating language works and have some simple tools to decipher signs so you can feel more assured when you visit China.
